The Law Office also provides its legal service in the classical fields of attorneys' activities, including drafting and countersigning real estate sale and purchase agreements and representing the clients before land registry offices. Real estate sale and purchase agreements are valid, if they are concluded in writing. In order to obtain the ownership of a real estate it is essential to have the ownership change registered in the land registry. The latter procedure is initiated by a written claim and stamp duty must be paid when filing the claim with the competent land registry office.

The Law Office represents foreign clients in connection with real estate sale and purchase in Hungary. Obtaining the ownership of a real estate in Hungary by a foreigner may be subject to permission, depending on many factors, among others whether the foreigner is a citizen of one of the EU member states or another state. As more than 5 years passed by since Hungary joined the EU, no permission is necessary to obtain the proprietary rights of real estates in Hungary for citizens of any EU member states and of those countries that are considered accordant with EU member states.

If permission is necessary, a formal request must be filed with the competent regional authority in order to issue the permission. Apart from enclosing the documents to the request, declarations must be made with respect to certain facts and data stipulated in legal regulations. The Law Office provides effective assistance in drafting and finalizing such documents and declarations and undertakes to represent foreign citizens before the competent regional authorities.
